operated by airlines including bmi charter, First Choice, Thomsonfly,
Onur Air, Sun Express, Air Malta, British Jet, Spanair, Pegasus, Air
Europa and Futura.
- Rumoured possible future expansion
include a new transatlantic link (Canada is expected), a domestic link
to London Gatwick and new Jet2 holiday destinations in Europe. ShaheenAir have announced a new Pakistan route to be launched sometime
during summer 2007. New owners Bridgepoint are expected to make
announcements about new routes in May 2007.
- The airport is also used by Multiflight, a company providing private flying lessons, flight
experiences and VIP services, including business jet and helicopter
charter. The company is situated in the south side avaition of the
area, accessed by a turning on the right just before the underpass.
Multiflight has made considerable financial investment recently to
update their facilities. The company offers flight training on both
rotary and fixed wing aircraft and it is possible to progress from a
student pilot with little or no experience through to a full Airline
Trasnport Pilot License (ATPL).
- New Jet2 Routes
On the 14th
September 2007Jet2 announced the following new routes from Leeds
Bradford Airport (note many of the routes are all ready served by
other airlines. The new routes are as follows:
1. Hamburg(Lubeck) 2. Madrid(Barajas) 3.Jersey 4. La Rochelle 5.
Avignon 6. Sardinia(Olbia) 7. Crete(Heraklion) 8. Cyprus(Paphos)
- In adition
to these new routes,
flights to Tolouse are to be increased to twice weekly, flights to
Paris Charles de Gaul are to be increased to twice daily and flights
to BelfastInternational are to be increased to three times daily
- These new routes are to commence in
May 2008

Leeds Bradford International Airport
is
located between the cities of Leeds and Bradford in West Yorkshire,England
.The airport was in public ownership until May 2007, when it was sold for
£145.5 million. Leeds Bradford has a CAA
Public Use Aerodrome License (Number P800) that allows flights for the
public transport of passengers or for flying instruction. |
